Salary: £23,000 p/a

The Young Farmers organisation is a national voluntary youth organisation offering its members, who have an interest in the countryside and rural issues, opportunities for training and personal development, community involvement, participation in numerous competitions and events together with a varied social life. GFYFC has 11 clubs from Moreton in Marsh in the North to Sodbury Vale in the South.

The GFYFC is the governing and supporting body to our individual Clubs across the County.  Pre COVID, our membership stood at over 400 young people who annually have an exciting range of events and activities organised by the Clubs themselves but also by GFYFC.

Due to re-structuring of our services from GFYFC to its members, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join us and bring our membership back up to pre-COVID levels and develop further the membership in the County.  The role requires someone young at heart putting the interest of our members at the core of our support to the Clubs but also a responsible person to safeguard the membership which ranges from 10-28 years old.

You will provide administrative, organisational and development support across all Young Farmer events and activities, enabling our members to make the most of their development, training and social opportunities. You must have excellent communication skills and be I.T. proficient. Interviews for successful applicants will also seek your views on the modernising of our communication with the Club membership using social media etc.  Primarily based in our Gloucester office, This is a permanent role with a salary of £23,000pa for a 32 hour week with flexibility required to travel to attend some Club meetings and events held outside of core hours.
