Ekogea ‘Animal Health’ – Business Development Manager

Position: Ekogea UK Ltd seeks talented, networked and self-motivated Animal Health/ Feed Business Development Manager and Sales Consultants in the Poultry and Pig sectors – nationally but esp Midlands and East of England – to help drive our highly successful range of pre-biotic products. This is an opportunity to be part of an important journey to ‘sustainability’ with an experienced and award-winning team.


Company: Ekogea’s organic marine algae based BioComplex (BCx) delivers typcial 4:1 investment returns for Poultry broiler farmers plus significant bird health and environmental benefits for farms (including reduced ammonia and helping meet EA/NRW requirements).

BCx offers feed, sanitisation, red-mite and emissions solutions for broilers, pullets, layers, pig and dairy farmers via a portfolio of compounds or blends.

Ekogea is well represented in South West and English/Welsh borders but now looks to expand into other parts of the UK with an experienced sales team – importantly – people technically capable and receptive to the needs of farming customers, leading veterinary groups and corporate integrators.


Role: This sales position would suit candidates from a range of farming/ sales backgrounds (driven prospective sales managers, well-connected agricultural college graduates or experienced semi-retired specialists). Animal health enthusiasts with all round husbandry experience will be as valuable as single sector specialists.

First class Poultry industry experience will be an advantage but is not essential given Ekogea’s expansion into Pig, Cattle and Equine sectors.

In a changing farming industry, a self-starting and dynamic individual is sought who understands the value of natural biome/ gut-health to animal health. We focus on finding out what customer’s need and value the personal touch and customer satisfaction as well as strict adherence to company policies, business ethics and codes of practice. Candidates will be trained on Ekogea’s BCx product range, customer relationship management and performance monitoring.  Good computer, stockman and communication skills with a team orientated work ethic are minimum requirements. An agricultural qualification is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

Online sales channels haven’t been developed but the right candidate could secure support for this.

The position can be adapted to Full time or Part time to suit – with potential to lead a growing team.


Wider Role includes: Servicing existing Ekogea customers and vets, BCx performance data gathering and analysis (location dependent). Managing time and online CRM/ ordering systems and reporting; Sales and technical advisory opportunities outside UK for relevant candidates.


Salary/ Benefits: Base Salary + Sales Commission + Bonus + Benefits (candidate dependent) + benefit of flexible working. This is a long term role with excellent prospects, including potential to lead growing team.


Location: UK wide candidates sought (esp outside our existing core areas – see above); home based start in East Anglia an advantage.
