4c Design Webinar
Innovation is risky. Whether you’re an existing business or just starting up, it can be costly and time consuming to launch a new, sustainable product that’s just right for the end user. However, if introduced early in the innovation process, considerations around whether something can be manufactured, what it could be made from, who’s going to use it (and how and where they’ll do that) can help reduce the risks associated with new product development as well as time to market.
Will Mitchell is the owner and Managing Director of award winning 4C-Design in Glasgow. The Company has worked with many different companies and organisations since its launch covering a vast range of industries. He’s also written many times about innovation which he says “when managed well, can successfully transform a business” but “If managed badly, can become very expensive, very quickly”.
Will’s presentation for Farm 491 will be illustrated using real-life examples of where through proper consideration of these factors, 4c has influenced both the design brief and reduced technical risk involved in the launch of new products.
