Company Away Days
Where bold ideas meet inspiring landscapes.
The biggest challenges facing organisations today—from climate resilience and sustainable finance to food systems, heritage, innovation and technology—cannot be solved from behind the same boardroom table.
The Alliston Centre offers something different.
Nestled within the Royal Agricultural University estate, where contemporary facilities sit alongside striking Gothic architecture, our strategy residencies combine exceptional meeting spaces with the power of nature, local expertise and meaningful connections to help organisations think differently.
Whether you’re developing a new strategy, bringing a leadership team together, exploring new partnerships or simply creating space to innovate, we design experiences that move beyond the traditional corporate retreat.
A residency built around your ambitions
No two organisations face the same challenges.
For larger organisations, we create fully bespoke residencies designed around your objectives. We work with you to build an agenda that could include executive strategy sessions, facilitated workshops, leadership development, innovation sprints, stakeholder engagement or team collaboration.
Beyond the meeting room, our regional network allows us to curate experiences that enrich your discussions, including:
- Inspiring keynote speakers and expert facilitators
- Private dinner conversations with entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers and industry leaders
- Guided idea-generation walks through the RAU WildCampus and FWAG Market Garden, using the landscape to unlock creative thinking
- Exclusive visits to pioneering farms, businesses, research projects and innovation hubs
- Access to relevant local conferences, exhibitions and networking events where appropriate
- Introductions to researchers, investors, innovators and changemakers across the region
- Seasonal menus celebrating sustainably sourced local produce
- Private wine tastings featuring wines from the RAU Vineyard
Every residency is unique because every organisation is unique.
Shared Residencies for Smaller Organisations
You don’t need a large team to benefit from a leadership residency.
Our Shared Residencies bring together two or three carefully selected organisations with complementary interests. Each organisation enjoys private meeting rooms for confidential strategy sessions while sharing selected meals, walks and evening experiences.
The result is the best of both worlds.
Your team retains the privacy needed for strategic conversations while benefiting from informal discussions with peers facing similar challenges. These shared moments often lead to unexpected collaborations, new perspectives and lasting professional relationships that simply wouldn’t emerge in a traditional retreat.
Perfect for SMEs, charities, cultural organisations, impact investors, university research groups, start-ups and purpose-led businesses.
