Farm491 is inviting applications from Farm491 members to join an exclusive new programme to help improve their pitch to potential investors.

Pitch decks are an important way for companies to present to investors who they are, what they are doing, where they are going – and how they are going to get there. There are however a number of pitch deck pit-falls which companies regularly encounter; sometimes they are too focused on the global context, not focused enough on the customer or simply too long and/or missing key information. Farm491’s Investor-Ready Pitch Deck Programme is designed to help companies improve their deck by putting the focus on the investor and what they expect to see in the best quality pitches.

The programme is led by Dr Sean Butler, CEO of the AgriTech investment syndicate Cambridge Agritech. Dr Butler says of the programme “when companies pitch to us, I want them to show us why they are unique, why they are compelling, why we should invest in them. And in order to do that, the pitch needs to understand the issues we need to know about and explain them, not leave us in the dark or confused.”

The programme will comprise four online expert presentations and discussion groups over four weeks and then one-to-one advisory work with each company spanning up to 8 hours. A maximum of three companies will be participating in each cohort to ensure maximum benefit.

Head of Farm491, Sarah Carr, says “we are delighted to be launching this exclusive new programme as a further benefit to our members. Our members are at the heart of what we do and their success often relies heavily on securing investment. By running programmes such as this we are ensuring our members have the best possible chance of success in the market”.

The cost of the programme is £1000 per company however Farm491 is subsidising 50% of the cost meaning that companies are offered this opportunity at £500 + VAT.
