Farm491 Challenge
Land is under unprecedented pressure in the UK and globally, to make space for carbon sequestration, biodiversity, food and energy production, and housing.
We are delighted that Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is supporting our three-year land use challenge series, which challenges entrepreneurs and their companies to come up with a solution relating to these pressures.
Launched in 2024, our first ‘Mixed Land Use’ challenge invited companies developing innovative products and services that support nature friendly, multifunctional land use to enter their solution, with the winner awarded £50,000 to develop theirs further.
The series will return in June 2025, with a new challenge relating to land use set. Please check back this summer for more details on the Challenge, and to enter. In the meantime, read more about our 2024 Challenge here.
