Role: South West Regional Account Manager (Permanent)
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 DOE
Location: Remotely South West England

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Hummingbird is an artificial intelligence and data analytics company for the precision agriculture sector. Using
imagery captured by sensor-mounted UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), Hummingbird’s central focus is early
detection and analysis of crop health, crop variability and producing outcomes to positively influence these
variations by targeting inputs. Innovative in house developed algorithms form the base of our software and
analytic platform. This software, which is developed to integrate with existing farm management enterprise
systems, provides invaluable in-field intelligence for farmers and agronomists, to enable enhanced
decision-making concerning agrochemical application, crop evaluation and sustainable land management.
Hummingbird works closely with its largest strategic shareholder such as Velcourt, and other partners and/or
stakeholders, such as Hutchinson’s, BASF, Harper Adams University, and Cambridge Agri-Tech (which includes
investors such as NIAB, G’s, Smithson Hill, Elsom’s, A H Worth and Spearhead).

JOB SUMMARY
Hummingbird is looking for a South West Regional Account Manager to oversee the day to day running of
product services and customer relationships within this region. They will be responsible for daily account
management, providing targeted product services, maintaining and updating customer records, use of CRM
systems and company specific platform on a daily basis, maintaining existing and building new long term clients
by fulfilling their business requirements. Other tasks may include strategic sales planning, marketing and sales
support. Company KPIs will be an integral driver for daily/weekly activities. This position will require weekly
travel, including attending sales team meetings and meeting in the London head office
The ideal candidate will have an agricultural background/degree and previous sales and account management
experience (exceptions for University graduates). Self drive, ambition, time management skills, highly
communicative and a team work ethic are all important aspects we are looking for in candidates. A keen
understanding and passion for technology and precision farming is also key. Technology is at the heart of our
product offering and will be extensively used on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
➢ Maintain and build customer account ledger
➢ Develop and maintain long-term relationship with new and existing accounts
➢ Generate sales among Hummingbird clients’ accounts and prospects
➢ Ensure client advice is accurate and correct, customising service packages to fit customers needs
and providing the services in a timely fashion
➢ Assist customers through email, phone, online presentation and in person meetings.
➢ Responsible for maintaining current up to date client records and providing exceptional levels of
customer service on a day to day basis

JOB DESCRIPTION
➢ Being the first line of contact in terms of technical support and platform training for the customers
➢ Required to attend on farm meetings, shows and events as well as regularly team meetings at a
variety of locations throughout the UK, including head office in London.
➢ Ideal candidate needs to be ambitious, self motivated, driven, able to work from home whilst being
part of the UK sales team. Report on a daily basis their activities and provide insight to their
customer relationships.

REQUIRED: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
➢ Degree in agriculture, science, engineering, or similar
➢ Minimum 3 years of work experience as an account manager.
➢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to easily build relationships with
professionals of all organizational level.
➢ Previous experience in using any relevant CRM software, computer programs and google docs.
➢ If you are a college/university leaver with a farming background, good business skills with
the drive and enthusiasm in this field, then you will also be considered for the role.

PREFERRED OR DESIRABLE TRAITS
➢ Previous experience in precision agriculture and/or strong knowledge in the agri business.
➢ Preference of Location: South West
➢ Experience in farm management software
➢ Experience working on farm, at home and in an office environment
➢ Established client base and local farming contacts in the UK (preferred)
➢ Passion for precision technology and its role in improving farming.
➢ Full clean UK driving licence
