‘Croissants & Questions’ explores strategic land management in the Cotswolds
Farm491 enjoyed another successful ‘Croissants & Questions’ business breakfast on Thursday 27 March 2025.
We were delighted to welcome Professor Nicola Cannon, Professor of Agriculture at the Royal Agricultural University; Charlie Nash, Land Manager at Sapperton Wilder; and Chenie Prudhomme, Ecologist at Sapperton Wilder, to discuss strategic land management at the RAU and within the Cotswolds.

Nicola explored how the University optimises its land use, particularly illuminating how it deploys technological innovations to support data-driven decision making on land usage.

While Charlie and Chenie showcased how the local land restoration project Sapperton Wilder is managed in line with sustainable and regenerative principles, working to improve biodiversity and socioeconomics returns from low grade agricultural land in the Cotswolds.
Their engaging talks were followed by a Q&A and enthusiastic networking, all accompanied by complimentary refreshments, to kickstart the day.
