Event Details

  • Venue: The Alliston Centre, Farm491 HQ

Join us for our next ‘Croissants & Questions’ business breakfast.

This month’s theme is Quantification of Natural Capital in Gloucestershire.

Our guest speaker is Jennifer (Jenny) Phelps, MBE FRASE, Farming Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG South West)’s Joint Team Leader and Senior Farm Environment Advisor for Gloucestershire.

Her talk will explore the quantification of Natural Capital in Gloucestershire, and the implications for national strategy.

She is currently leading a vast project that quantifies natural capital by using high resolution satellite data mapping, to understand how we can make farms and communities more resilient, optimise our land usage, and understand how we can become more sustainable.

Her fascinating talk will highlight how data and technology can be used to unlock the most impactful land usage strategies, and vitally how funding can be directed towards them.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A and the opportunity to network with others interested in agriculture and strategic land management.

Thursday 24 April, 8.00 am – 9.30 am, Farm491 HQ, Alliston Centre, RAU campus

Advanced registration is required.

There will be croissants aplenty…the questions are up to you!
