This month, we welcomed Jenny Phelps MBE FRASE, Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) South West’s Joint Team Leader & Senior Farm Environment Advisor for Gloucestershire, as our guest speaker.

As part of her fascinating talk on quantifying natural capital in Gloucestershire and the implications for national strategy, Jenny shared her current projects, highlighting how data and technology in particular are being deployed to unlock the most impactful land usage strategies locally, and vitally how funding can be directed towards them.

As ever, the talk was followed by an energetic Q&A and networking, over fresh pastries and hot beverages.

We thank everyone who joined us and we look forward to welcoming you back on 29 May 2025, during which we will focus on sustainable food production, with a showcase on the local food supply chain.

Indeed, next time, we have extended ‘Croissants & Questions’ to 8.00 am – 10.00 am so everyone can walk over to and learn more about the GREAT ZeroDig site on the RAU campus.
