Background: Agri Frontier Limited  are a growing Agri Investment and Advisory firm that specialises in helping to create world class farming and integrated agri/food businesses across the value chain, with a focus on frontier markets, primarily Africa.

Agri Frontier work with clients to provide innovative solutions to food security, economic and environmental sustainability in challenging environments and provides the following key services:

• supporting corporate businesses to establish operations in Africa

• identification of investment opportunities for a range of investors

• assisting businesses to become “investment ready” (expansion capital or outright sale)

• acquisition financial and technical due diligence

• financing (grant, debt and equity) • non-executive board management

• project management consultancy

Typical clients range from family owned to corporate agri/food sector businesses in Africa as well as Impact, Developmental and Private Equity investors.

The Role:  Based in Cirencester, reporting to and supporting the founder with existing and new clients, the position is to help grow the investment and advisory business.

Main duties and responsibilities will be varied, including the option for travel to Africa and depending on the experience of the candidate, will include:

– Translating business information into investment proposals (report writing is a key requirement)

– Applying for grant applications – Writing feasibility studies

– Financial modelling (5 year financial plans & business valuations)

– Liaising with legal advisors, clients, investors and other stakeholders on investment transaction documentation


– Co-ordinating the activities of associate consultants in country (Africa)

– Responding to clients ad hoc requirements

– Assisting the founder with a range of general administrative duties

Personal requirements: The ideal candidate will have:

·       a combined passion for Investment/Finance/Business

·       be commercially aware and analytical

·       excellent verbal and written communication

·       self motivated

·       a knowledge of agriculture would be an advantage

·       relevant accounting/financial and/or legal qualifications would be beneficial

·       possess excellent report writing skills

·       knowledge and/or experience of working in Africa would be an advantage

·       ability to prioritise and juggle tasks

Salary/Package: Dependent on experience.
